Just move forward

Keep on Keeping...

I've been having those "I give up" type of week. Everything has just become complicated & so heavy that it even pushed me to my "I give up" moment. I believe that God breaks you down ,  to build you up again. A stronger & wiser you. So how do I get through such a phase? I remind myself constantly that God is preparing me for what I asked for. I mean , he won't give me a mountain that I can't climb over...

I love inspirational quotes because they pick me up , remind me that what I'm going through now , I'm not the only one. Someone out there are facing a similar situation or even worse.

Here is some of my favourite

I've been fasting & praying since Monday, & I have three reasons why I'm actually fasting
1. Spiritual Growth
2. Direction
3.Acceptance (Accepting myself as I am)

& this fasting isn't something easy. It takes strong will power & lots of discipline, but it's the best thing I've ever done. I'm busy getting to know the real Deronique & I like her more & more.

So let's just keep on keeping...

Accept what you can't change

Accept what you can't change
Self reflection Monday

Loosing your money , favourite barbie doll (some of us still have those) or your new iPhone can be quite traumatic...but loosing a loved one can leave a deep scare. I lost my mom in a car accident at the age of 12. Now imagine,  growing up as a young girl experiencing things &changes that you weren't prepared for. .. scary I know. So before my mom's passing I wasn't that close with my dad, so after my mom's passing , I was kind of forced to develop this relationship with my dad which wasn't your everyday cup of tea...I'm young , just lost my mom & I was bitter. Not taking into consideration, that my dad lost his wife of 24 years...I mean being with someone that long & loosing them in that manner ain't something you'd wish on other people. So we had our first building block _ we both lost someone we loved.

Today,  I've grown closer to my dad & I know this sounds a bit funny but if my mother didn't pass I wouldn't have known that so much of my dad is in me. I'm like the female version of him! But I didn't use my past & circumstances as an excuse to not move forward. I blossomed rather , where God planted me. God breaks you down , to build you up again. Sounds stupid but it's so true.

Word of the day " Change hurts a lot, but also helps you discover your determination & your inner strength to keep on keeping"

That's The situation today...

Winters soft landing

Brrrrrrr !  Winter's soft landing

After a lovely week of beach weather in Port Elizabeth , God decided to wet his garden a little....With cold water ! I got this thing , that when it rains I always say God is busy watering his beautiful garden & when there's some thunder that joins the rain , then God left the sprinklers on while he busy revamping heaven ! Funny ,I know

But... you can't look rachet while winter creeps up upon you. That can't happen hontey. So today's post is about  how to ad some loveliness to your winter outfits.

I firmly believe that a nice scarf , pair of gorgeous boots , knitwear && a gorgeous coat won't do anyone harm

Cream knitted cardigan matched with a Jean and some chunky boots
model: Nadège

Blue knitted jearsey, matched with a blue printed pj pants
Abegail

Military Jacket with all black outfit & a dark grey scarf to round it off
Even if God decides to water his garden , or let a little breeze sweep through,  Live in the moment! Now that's the Situation !

Vintage meets Modern

Fashion is like an anthology of series about ourselves,  basically shows us the way we are & giving us the opportunity to wear our personality! It's also known for giving one that essential expression of freedom , you know,  the sense of belonging...
Fashion gives you some sort Power ! It's like being born again

Ms. Jeanne Mia

" everything's been done. There's nothing left to invent"

Of course everything has been done , & yet fashion doesn't simply go round in circles: it revisits it's past , skews it & then transforms it like Vintage clothing

But Why Vintage?
Vintage fashion represents one last (accessible)  island of personalization. So,  if you are weary of brands with worldwide reach that are seen in the same store windows everywhere , from Armani to Zara via Prada & H8M? Then vintage is for you !

Stars like Angelina Jolie & Natalie Portman  sometimes forsake their designers for an historic article they are sure never seen on a rival

Call me crazy but I'm a vintage junky. I'm super'ubber into fashion pieces that are vintage inspired. You know , the whole Marilyn Monroe,  Grace Kelly type of vibe.
So what happens if Vintage meets Modern?

Magic happens ! You feel Powerful walking through that crowd of people knowing you represent both the past & the present ! Still think vintage is out of style?  Well think again. It will never ever go out of style,  better still : it will become a collectors item...

Now that's the situation
