I thank...

Self Reflection_Monday

So , sometimes we come across people who are a huge success in what they do. Whether it's in sport or in their academics ,they just superb. Now I may step on some toes here but I'll just say it anyway... God doesn't get enough recognition for His part played in this huge success story.

We tend to forget to acknowledge the one person that always had our best interest at heart. Who sacrificed it all... It's time we acknowledge our true driving force.

Self-Made you say , well I'm God-Made.

Through the Lens

I own a very huge interest in my countries history. I believe that there is importance to knowing what your past is. Not only do I think of it like this but so does thousands of others. Others like Adrian Steirn who are interested in South Africa's rich history.

Adrian Steirn

Adrian Steirn is a profound photographer , who was born & raised in Sydney. He visited South Africa during family trips a few times before finally settling down in 2008.

During his journey , Adrian has become the embassodor for Nikon , mercedes-Benz,  Lowerpro , Gitzo & also works with WWF South Africa's Photographer-in-Residence. All impressive right ? , but what made me even more Intrigued - was how he could tell a story through pictures. You know the saying  "a picture tells a thousand words" .

This Lad' , Founder & Director of 21 Icons & Grinkgo Agency,   captured the naked beauty of 21 icons that contributed tremendously to South Africa's rich history. Men and women like...

Season 1- Journey to Democracy

Nelson Mandela

Nadine Gordimer

Sophia Williams-De Bruyn

John Kani

His documentaries are categorised as follows :

1. Season 1 - Journey to Democracy
2. Season 2 - Promise of Freedom
3. Season 3 - Future of a Nation (To be lunched in 2015)

Powerful words by these icons

Throwback Thread

Let's dish the ish'

I'm taking this way back. Way back to the retro 1970's yessss hontey ! This winter season the 70's is making a huge comeback from your culottes to your polkadots straight to your preppy collegiate look.

Does that look familiar ? Well it's a huge trend this winter both , stripes & the collegiate look. Which remind me of the Iggy Azalea - Fancy video which is Inspired by the movie called Clueless. I told you I'm taking it way back. Even though Cher Harowitz from Clueless had rummage through her clothes just to find the perfect ensemble...We must admit she rocked the collegiate look.

Can get the look for less at Legit

Available at Mr . Price

Another hot trend this Winter is the Culottes also known as the Wide-Leg pants. Solange Knowles rocked the body suit at her wedding.

Vintage always have a way of coming back!

Roberto Cavalli

Not only does she slay on the stage but she does it in everything she does. The " I bet " singer & mother is now the new face of Roberto Cavalli's 2015/16 Fall/Winter Ad Campaign.

Wednesday Women Crush'

Four Coloured Girls

You probably wonder why this post is titled "Four Coloured Girls". So let me dish the ish'

Meet Zee,   Abby  &&  Daisy..
We label ourselves as the  #TheSquad- lame name I know but we love it. Now how we became friends is something none of us can recall. I assume this happens to all friendships or only the one's that I'm Involved in.

Each one of them represents a world in me ,a world not possibly born yet until they arrived. Although some people are just fine without having friends, I've come to love these women.

This is the little lessons you taught me:

1. I've learned to always chase my dream & never fear new challenges- Zidza Katenga

2. I've learned that embracing yourself ,as loud & outspoken as i am,  & live life to the fullest - Abegail Ferguson

3. I've learned that age doesn't matter when it comes to being independent -Nadége Istain

Being different in so many ways , we have one thing in common...We never give up !

Your so beautiful !

Self Reflection Monday !

I came across this picture quote the other day & it got me thinking.

Women are insecure creatures. Even if we are being told we beautiful we wouldn't believe it because the world creates this perception in our heads that having long hair , gorgeous teeth && expensive clothes makes you feel beautiful. But that doesn't matter.

Take a good look at yourself in the mirror... that reflection you see , yes her ! She's gorgeous & everybody sees that , & she's just waiting for you to embrace her.

Your beautiful...just the way you are.

Coat styles

COAT STYLES FOR MEN IN WINTER

Winter is upon us. As much as you might hate the cold & wet weather you also secretly love the fact that you can layer up on some clothes. It's like the only season where you can look rachet & don't have to explain yourself. But lemme dish the ish'.

So let's forget about the " Eve's " & their tight Jean , fancy boots & long hair don't care & focus on our "Adams".

There's four Coat styles this winter for men to slay in.

1. The Classic Double Breasted Coats

This is the traditional classic winter coat. Match it up formally or give it a casual , yet sophisticated look but if you like it...mix it , match it & style it the way you want it.

2. Parkas Coat

The Parkas coat is one of my favourite & it's still making headlines. This coat goes with anything but what makes it better , is the cool vibe it brings to any outfit. Solid black or military green is highly recommend.

3. Duffle Coat

The Duffle Coat is the coat in between the classic winter coat & the Parka coat. It's a versatile coat which you could take from office suits look to a laid back weekend outfit. With its usual wooden buttons ,square pockets & well defined cut and design... This coat is a hit.

4. Furr Coats

Okay , this is a tricky one for the guys. Furr coats ain't for any guy. I mean you'll have to have a lot of swag to pull this off unless your Kanye West & don't give a ish' , but those who dare to wear,  they will most definitely make a statement.

Note* - a great coat always has the perfect shoulder width. If the shoulder fits ,It's P E R F E C T
